School Social Worker
Was a school social worker for six elementary and two secondary schools in a multi-ethnic community and to a specialized centre for children experiencing emotional difficulties.
Counselling
As a social worker, provided counselling services in the Family Practice Unit of Mount Sinai Hospital, Sherman Health and Wellness Centre, Vaughan Campus, to adults from 18 to 80 on a wide range of issues including bereavement, financial loss and family issues
Mental Health Therapy
Team member in a mental health clinic of Mississauga Hospital and Credit Valley Hospital with psychiatrists, psychologists and nurses. Provided counselling for children, adolescents, youth, young adults and their families presenting with acute psychiatric diagnoses (anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD, mood dysregulation, psychosis, concurrent disorders and self-harming behaviors).
Guided University of Toronto and Laurier University Master of Social Work students as their Field Supervisor.
Group Therapy
Co-facilitated therapy groups for teens and parents . (Social anxiety, mix mood and ACT). Administered evidence based therapies to patients including CBT, DBT informed, ACT informed, Mindfulness, Narrative Therapy and Solution Focused).
